It's so hard to say goodbye

Saturday we attended the funeral of my step-dad, Chuck. He has been battling pancreatic cancer for the last ten months. The service was absolutely phenomenal. Chuck was such an inspiring individual. He lived his life passionately. I am so fortunate to have had the opportunity to have him play such an intimate role in my life. The impact he had on my life and the lives of many others is beyond measure. He is a symbol of strength, an inspiration of success and an example of love. Thank you Chuck, we will miss you. This isn't goodbye, rather 'til we meet again. We love you.

Totally teared up viewing these pics... don't know why I am such an emotional person lately! What a great man Chuck was and what a great reunion it will be one day when you are all united again.

Thank you so much for this post. I was so sad that I couldn't come for the funeral. My mom said that the service was incredible!
